The Center maintains a library of professional books, periodicals, journals, and videos for teachers to borrow. Check this site in the future for a listing of available titles. In the meantime, drop by the Teachers' Center and look to see what's there. The Teachers' Center is especially pleased to offer an excellent selection of Professional Development Videotapes.

The Pare Lorentz Center at theFranklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library and Museum
The Lending Library at The Pare Lorentz Center makes audiovisual resources on the Roosevelt era, (1932 -1945), including The Great Depression and World War II, available to Educators. POSTER PRINTER & LAMINATOR

You've got a great document you'd like to post in your classroom for everyone to see. Unfortunately it's on a standard sheet of paper your students will never notice it! Fortunately, at the Teachers' Center you can take a standard sized drawing and/or text and make it big enough for the entire class to see. Run the original through the poster maker. Then print an enlarged version of the original as a poster or banner. See setup requirements below.

POSTER 24"x 30"
Word Document layout:
8 1/2 x 11 Word Document - will be enlarged but may lose clarity
OR
Microsoft Publisher:
Create a 24" by 30" Poster - this format will yield the best results.

Send the MSWord attachment and the Teacher Center will create a 24x30 inch laminated Color Poster.
The cost for it is $4.

BANNER
Word Document layout must be:
margins 1/2 inch
Landscape
Custom size: 20.69 width up to 8.27 height

The cost for it is $6.

MEETING FACILITIES

Holding a meeting? Getting together for a seminar? The Teachers' Center has classrooms, a computer lab, and a large meeting room that can be subdivided. Contact the Teachers' Center and get your meeting on the calendar.
