  • Math a Way of Thinking is cancelled.
  • Helping Your Struggling Readers Section B is cancelled
    Section A is running and still has space.

2. Summer 2008 Hard Copy Registration Form

After completing your registration...

Send a check and a printed copy of your registration form to the Teachers' Center to hold your spot.

Places will NOT be saved without payment by the deadline of June 10th.

You will be notified ONLY if you are NOT registered in your choice OR if a course is cancelled.

NEW TEACHER WORKSHOPS

New Teacher Handbook
New Teacher Workshops at a Glance

Teachers will be required to make up any missed workshops.
The District requires ALL newly-hired teachers to participate in 15 hours of NEW TEACHER TRAINING, which includes:  

10 hours of new teacher workshops

3 hours of mentor/mentee discussion groups, and

2 hour dinner meeting

Upon completion of all components of the New Teacher Training Program, new teachers will receive a “Certificate of Completion” from the Office of Personnel. 


NEW TEACHER MENTOR PROGRAM

ALL teachers interested in becoming part of a “pool” of trained mentors must be trained. The forms below may be used to learn about and apply for the Teacher Mentor Program.

Both NEW and EXPERIENCED mentors must complete and submit a mentor application form to the Teachers’ Center.

REFLECTIVE PRACTICE

Some of your colleagues in the ERCSD have been looking for a new model of professional development --one that relies less on outside “experts” and more on the vast untapped store of experience and creativity within our own learning community.

Now, after more than a year of work, they are ready to share what they have learned with you.
