Matt Mulligan

Matt Mulligan, Special Education teacher at Pomona Middle School, is a member of the East Ramapo Teachers’ Center Policy Board, and has served as its Chairperson from 2003 to the present.

In addition to being chairperson of the Board, Matt chairs the following committees: the Parent Participation Grant Committee; Compensation Committee; Program/ Accreditation Committee; and the Website Committee. He also serves on the Mini-Grant Committee, the New Teacher Mentor Program Committee (and its sub-committees), and assists in the implementation of both these programs. As a teacher-member of the Policy Board, Matt also serves on the district’s Professional Development Plan Team.

Matt was also instrumental in revamping the Center’s Mini-Grant Program, and finding a new Webmaster and overseeing the Center’s Website. He also volunteers his time to attend Teacher Center Statewide meetings.

Under Matt’s leadership, several policy changes and improvements have been made, namely – changes in the district’s “Inservice Course Credit Policy” and the approval of inservice credits for certain online courses.

Matt was nominated and unanimously approved as a Good Apple Award recipient for his leadership role on the Policy Board as well as his commitment to the principles and goals of the Teachers’ Center. His appointment by the Policy Board recognizes the time and work that Matt has devoted to the Center and the respect his Teacher Center colleagues have for him.

Congratulations and a BIG “Thank You” for all you do, Matt!!
